About Jodi
I'm a first-year BCom student based in South Africa, currently building on the foundation I got from studying Accounting throughout high school. I've always enjoyed the logic behind numbers — how everything has to balance, and how each concept builds on the last. Tutoring feels like a natural fit for me: I like breaking things down, and I get a kick out of watching something finally "click" for someone else.
Alongside my studies, I work as an au pair, so I'm used to being patient, adapting to different personalities, and explaining things in ways that actually make sense to the person in front of me. When I'm not studying or tutoring, you'll usually find me swimming — it's my way of unwinding

What sets my lessons apart: I'm still a student myself, not a distant expert, so I explain things the way learners actually think — no jargon, no assuming concepts "just make sense." Having gone through Accounting recently, I remember exactly where people get stuck: journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements — and I build lessons around those specific pain points rather than a generic syllabus.
I focus on real understanding over memorization, so what you learn sticks for tests, exams, and beyond. Sessions are relaxed but focused, with plenty of practice examples and room to ask "dumb" questions — because there aren't any.
