About BILAL
Bilal born in the family of an illustrious
Gwalior Gharana,he is a direct decendant of Miyan Tansen & Grandson of Padma Bhushan Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan He has performed in many conferences like Sangeet Piyasi, Bongiyo Sangeet Parishad Sangeet Mela, Ganga Maha Utsav (Banaras),Raj Bhavan (Agartala), Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad) Sangeet Natak Academy National programme Rashtrapati bhavan (New Delhi), and given performances in Spic Macay and many more concerts all across India with renowned artists like Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan,Smt.Kavita Krishnamurthy Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, Ustad Rashid Khan,the Ghazal Maestro Ghulam Ali, Smt.Girja Devi, Farida Khanam, Ariji Singh And also some of his CD’s has been launched with his great Grand Father Padma Bhushan Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan known as ‘RASAN PIYA’. And presently he is working very hard to continue the lineage of his Gharana.And working as a Tabla Accompanist in ITC SANGEET RESEARCH ACADEMY in KOLKATA.
