About Electra
My name is Electra, I'm 22 years old. I'm currently a post-graduate student at Imperial College London.
I am fluent in French and English, having grown up in Paris and in London. I went to French schools my whole life, obtaining my French Baccalaureat in 2018 with high honours. Even though I'm back to studying in English at University, I want to continue using my French and tutoring provides me with just that. Having tutored privately for just over a year now, I'm looking to continue on this path alongside my studies.

I like to create a friendly, honest and interactive environment with my students in which they feel, above all, comfortable to ask any questions they may have.
I employ a pragmatic approach to teaching. I tailor my lessons to each individual student, according to their goals, experience and interests. I like to keep my lessons upbeat and active. When it comes to grammar or vocabulary, I'll ask my students to complete a small task at the beginning of each lesson, to consolidate what has been learnt so far and to give them the chance to ask more questions. For more intermediary level classes, I like to make use of pieces of classic French literature and culture.
I've spent one year privately tutoring French to students ranging from the age of 12 to 20. I have provided classes focused on beginner level grammar and vocabulary, whilst others have been entirely focused on intermediary level speaking and pronunciation.
