About Svara
I'm Svara, a fresh graduate of the International Baccalaureate. As a prospective author, my passion lies with creative writing. I have written hundreds of short stories, one of which won the John Estey Student Writing Competition, another being featured in the Rewrite the Stars Magazine. I am delighted to offer my knowledge in the literary arts to other students who are equally as passionate about writing as I am!

I am able to teach a range of ages from first to eleventh grade. Depending on the student's level of English comprehension, I offer lessons on basic grammar, conjugation and spelling to more complex how-tos on story writing, essay organization and poetry.
My teaching method consists of providing top-tier writing examples to those looking for more advanced writing instruction. Prospective writers will be given literary excerpts with which to sharpen their analysis skills, recognizing the specific devices used across varying authors and applying these methods to their own writing. With guidance from me, students will learn from the successful work of others and learn how to apply widely-used analysis methods in their own texts.
A typical lesson plan will consist of a quick analysis exercise, followed by a short writing practice to get the student in a literary-focused mood. Afterwards, the student will propose any required help, whether that be for a school project or a topic they are struggling with. Otherwise, I will have several rich activities to pull from, tailored to each individual student in order to keep them engaged and keep lessons fun.
