About Karl Jonathan

Hello, my name is Karl Jonathan, and I am a passionate pianist and dedicated piano teacher from Germany. My musical journey began in the world-renowned Dresdner Kreuzchor, where I received intensive classical training and performed on international tours across countries such as Japan and South Korea. With a background in both music and business studies, I bring a structured yet empathetic approach to my teaching. For over five years, I’ve been helping students of all ages — from 5 to 75 — discover their love for piano playing in a warm and encouraging atmosphere. What truly defines me is my friendly, patient nature, and my strong belief that music lessons should be a source of joy, inspiration, and personal growth. My international experience and genuine interest in cultural exchange allow me to connect with students from all backgrounds. I’m fluent in both German and English, and I offer a unique chance to combine piano learning with German language immersion — especially suited for families or students abroad with an interest in German culture.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for beginners and re-starters, both children and adults, who want to build a strong foundation in piano playing. I focus on developing clean and healthy technique right from the start, to help students progress with confidence and avoid future frustrations.

Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs and goals. I combine classical methods with modern repertoire — anything from Bach to film music — and adjust to various learning styles and personalities. Students love that I begin each session with a short conversation about their day. This small routine helps them arrive mentally, so we can focus better and enjoy real progress.

Lessons typically last 45 minutes, and they are always structured but warm and engaging. Whether you're learning just for fun, for exams, or to combine piano with learning German, I’ll meet you exactly where you are.
