About Rachel

When my voice was discovered as a 16 year old, I was elated. I had fantasized that I was a good singer, but didn’t believe it. If someone special had pulled me aside to say my voice was good - it needs work - let’s start - I would have agreed, while asking all kinds of questions .

That young, conflicted little singer did get vocal lessons - just as I am committed to find young singers who wonder if they are good, but who don’t know.

About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic and committed student of music. As an undergraduate, I majored in piano and vocal performance. I love the idea of shaping young voices so that they are limitless and free. Any repertoire is encouraged, from hymnal to classical to broadway.

When you're struggling with a subject, you need someone to guide you through the material with patience, thoughtfulness, and most of all kindness. When I think of these qualities only one name comes to mind, Rachel. She has an incredible depth of knowledge, a generous spirit, and a willingness to work with you until the knowledge is concrete.
