About Christian
I am a self-taught musician and composer. I've played guitar for 12 years, but I also play ukulele, piano, and drums. I love the idea of expressing musically and have composed over 50 original songs. I enjoy making my own music and lyrics, analyzing chord progressions of popular songs, and re-harmonizing them. My initial, simple interest in playing the guitar escalated to much more of one of my greatest passions when I started studying music theory on my own. I spent months reading books and learning from online resources to better understand why music works the ways that it does. I would like to share my experience and knowledge to help others find their passion in music as well. I often teach friends how to play songs that they share with me.

Learning an instrument can be intimidating, but it can be a lot easier with the right guidance. I teach beginner to intermediate students of all ages and can help you improve your guitar skills by taking gradual steps towards larger and more-advanced challenges. Rather than prioritizing music theory and reading sheet music, I focus on playing the instrument while introducing relevant music theory concepts to improve your understanding and application of them. I will encourage you to express yourself with your music; make it your own! In the end, music is about your own unique and creative self-expression.
