About RL

Think Indiana Jones, but instead of unearthing dusty artifacts, I whip up witty essays and unearth the secrets of the English language. My degrees? A smorgasbord of UC Berkeley brilliance, Harvard hustle, and enough teaching experience to qualify me to coach penguins on existential bird-brain blues.

English Language? I speak it like Shakespeare wrote it, slang it like a Kardashian on Snapchat, and explain it like I'm drawing stick figures on a napkin-stained bar table. (Don't worry, I disinfect the knowledge.)

ELS? More like "Easy Like Sundae" with me! I'll melt away grammar woes faster than Ben & Jerry's on a July sidewalk. We'll conquer verb conjugations like ninjas slaying adverbs, and sentence structure will become your playground, not your prison.

American Culture? Buckle up, buttercup, it's a cultural kaleidoscope! We'll dissect pop culture like a Kardashian dissects her closet, navigate Thanksgiving dinner drama like seasoned diplomats, and decipher baseball lingo faster than a squirrel on Red Bull. You'll be quoting Seinfeld like a native and rocking a mean macarena before you can say "cultural immersion."

Been teaching since before Obama graced the ballot? You betcha! I saw dial-up modems rise and fall, witnessed the birth of memes, and survived the dark ages of floppy disks. Basically, I'm a linguistic Gandalf guiding you through the treacherous Middle-earth of communication.

So, why me? Because my classes are a laugh riot, a grammar boot camp, and a cultural crash course all rolled into one. You'll leave with killer puns, an American accent smoother than jazz on a velvet sofa, and the confidence to chat up anyone, from your barista to a room full of Texan politicians debating the merits of BBQ (spoiler alert: brisket wins every time).

Ready to ditch the dull and join the wordplay party? Sign up now and let's get linguistically lit! (Hashtag not sponsored by actual fire, but hey, things could get heated...)

Forget dusty textbooks and boring lectures. My classes are a circus of jokes, pop culture references, and enough awkward grammar humor to make Fowler's Dictionary blush. You'll master the verb tenses while dodging flying puns, conquer vocabulary with movie marathons, and write essays so captivating, Hemingway'll weep with envy.

Want to:

Speak American like a sassy Texan at a rodeo?
Craft emails that charm like Beyoncé serenading Jay-Z?
Navigate office small talk like a seasoned social butterfly?
Understand all the nuances of "bless your heart"? (Hint: it's not always a compliment!)

American culture? Buckle up, it's a wild ride! We'll dissect pop culture like a frog in biology class (but with less goo and more Beyoncé). We'll decipher baseball lingo, navigate Thanksgiving dinner etiquette, and learn the secret handshake that opens the door to every frat party (okay, maybe not that last one).

Then saddle up!
