About Tomi
I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer based in the UK, with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Energy Engineering, which I completed with Distinction.
I have several years of professional engineering experience working on complex engineering projects, alongside practical experience with mathematics, technical problem-solving, engineering calculations and CAD.
I enjoy breaking down technical subjects into simple, understandable steps and helping people build confidence rather than just memorising answers. I know that subjects like maths and engineering can sometimes feel unnecessarily complicated, so my aim is to make them practical, logical and easier to understand.
I’m patient, approachable and happy to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s level, whether they need help preparing for exams, understanding difficult topics or simply becoming more confident in the subject.

My lessons are practical, structured and tailored to the student’s current level and goals. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind a problem rather than simply memorising methods or formulae.
I usually begin by identifying any areas the student is struggling with, explain the underlying concept clearly, work through examples together, and then allow the student to attempt similar problems independently with guidance where needed.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate.
I hold a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Energy Engineering with Distinction, and I currently work professionally as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the UK.
My lessons are suitable for students who want patient, practical support and a clearer understanding of the subject, whether preparing for exams, improving confidence or strengthening their technical fundamentals.
