About Obiam
I’m John Chima Obiam, an Economics Educator and passionate online tutor with a B.Sc. in Economics (Second Class Upper) from the University of Port Harcourt and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Monetary Economics.
I have professional experience teaching Economics and Business Studies, helping students understand complex concepts through simple explanations, practical examples, diagrams, discussions, and step-by-step problem solving. I also have experience preparing students for examinations and supporting them in developing stronger analytical and critical-thinking skills.
My particular academic interests include Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Inflation, Money and Banking, Interest Rates, Monetary Policy, Exchange Rates, Microeconomics, and Economic Policy.
As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, organized, and student-focused. I take time to understand each student's learning needs and adapt my lessons accordingly. My goal is not simply to help students memorize Economics, but to help them understand how Economics works and confidently apply what they learn.
