About Emily

I completely understand that the drama school audition process is full of incredible highs and can also have some pretty low moments. I work with students to build them up and help them find the joy in the process as well as the confidence in themselves. I worked with a coach myself to get into drama school and know what a difference it can make. I'm here to support you from start to end and to make sure you don't forget just how brilliant you are along the way.

About the lesson

I work with each student from the very beginning of their process to the very end. We will begin with a casual friendly chat where you can tell me about your previous experiences and a bit about you. From there, I can help you find speeches (if needed) and we'll begin our work on them together. No actor is the same - which is what makes it so exciting. When we work together I like to focus on what it is that makes you special and how to nurture that. We'll work on the technical skills as well as the development of your pieces, using voice and movement to make sure we're showcasing your skills and YOU. It's also important that we create the right mindset for auditions. I'm not going to work with you on a speech and pack you on your way. Together we'll talk about what happens in auditions and how to make sure you're confident and ready to receive the workshops and redirection they will offer you. I can also help with personal statements and song suggestions for auditions that require those. I'll make note of when your auditions are and after each, we can have a debrief, either straight away or once you've had time to process it, whatever works best for you. My sessions last around 1.5 hours, but we can always discuss what works best for you and create a personalised session plan. Pricing will be determined by this and also whether the sessions are on Zoom or in person. Currently, I can travel to people based in SE and Central London with ease. If you're not based there though - don't worry! Drop me a line and I am sure we can sort something out that works for you.
