About Maria
I’m a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) with over 10 years of experience teaching accounting and professional qualifications.
I began my career in audit at BDO before moving into education, where I discovered my passion for teaching and helping students achieve their qualifications. I have taught A-Level Accounting, AAT, ICAEW, ACCA and CIMA students at a range of levels.
I particularly enjoy taking topics that students find difficult and explaining them in a clear, straightforward and approachable way. Seeing a student gain confidence, improve their exam technique and ultimately pass their exams is what I find most rewarding about teaching.
I’m friendly, patient and supportive, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I focus on explaining complex accounting concepts in a clear and simple way, using practical examples and exam-style questions to build your understanding and confidence.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, I understand that every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style and pace accordingly, with a strong focus on exam technique, question practice and time management.
I teach A-Level Accounting as well as AAT, ICAEW, ACCA and CIMA students, from introductory topics through to professional-level accountancy exams.
