About Maya
I’m a Law LLB student, accepted into top Law programs at Russell Group universities like the University of Warwick and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). I chose Economics at A-level because I was fascinated by how it shapes society, influencing everything from government policies to business decisions. My background in law and economics gives me a unique analytical approach to problem-solving and understanding complex concepts.
Because of my law background, I bring strong logic problem-solving and communication skills, ensuring that even the trickiest topics are broken down into manageable steps and explained in an understandable way to students. I’m committed to fostering a professional yet friendly learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
What I enjoy most about tutoring Economics is showing students how it connects to the real world, whether it’s discussing how the global economy affects everyday life or applying economic theories to current events that are relevant to the student. My goal is to build confidence in my students, helping them not only grasp the material but also feel well-prepared for their exams.
What sets my approach apart is my focus on tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style; whether they need more help with essay writing, exam techniques, or understanding models, I make sure to provide guidance that suits them.

I offer online tutoring sessions tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. My lessons follow a specific format but are adjusted on a case-by-case basis to ensure every student gets the personalized guidance they need. Lessons are available in different lengths depending on the student's preference, with a maximum of 1 hour per session for optimal focus and engagement.
As an A-level Economics tutor who achieved an A in Economics in 2024, I specialise in tutoring current Year 12 and 13 students who are preparing for their A-level exams. My goal is to make economics engaging by incorporating real-world examples tailored to what interests the student most so that they can use examples that interest them as external application in their answers.
I assess each student's progress through regular feedback and adapt my teaching methods accordingly to help them achieve their target grades. Whether it's focusing on exam techniques, essay writing, or understanding complex theories, I ensure my students are well-prepared for success.
