About Mara
My name is Mara. I am passionate and fascinated by meeting people from other countries. I had the wonderful privilege teaching Conversational English in Japan. Upon returning to Canada I facilitated ESL lessons for foreign students attending my university. More recently, I have experience teaching English at two educational institutions. Presently, I provide Conversational lessons for students at home over Zoom.

I have experience teaching conversational ESL lessons overseas in Japan and locally at various educational organizations. I have numerous lesson plans for beginner-level students to advanced. My lessons are typically one hour where I communicate directly with students followed by a lesson with a relevant topic associated with living in or traveling to an English-speaking country. Within each lesson, I dig deeper into grammar students creating a personalized plan for students to practice their speaking skills.
