About Gouri

I’m an experienced accountant and tutor with 7 years of practical experience in accounting and tax preparation. I hold a degree from Monash University and have worked closely with individuals and small businesses to help them understand their finances and meet their tax obligations with confidence.

Over the years, I’ve helped students improve their understanding of accounting concepts, score well in exams, and feel more confident with practical tasks like preparing tax returns and BAS. I’ve also supported many aspiring accountants in building job-ready skills, preparing for interviews, and securing internships and entry-level roles.

My approach is simple and practical — I focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, easy-to-understand steps, and I make sure you actually understand what you're doing, not just memorize it.

About the lesson

If you’re studying accounting but still don’t feel confident doing real work, you’re not alone. A lot of students understand the theory but struggle when it comes to actually preparing tax returns or working with real numbers.

I offer hands-on accounting and Australian tax lessons based on 7 years of real industry experience. These sessions are practical, simple to follow, and focused on what you actually need to know to work in the field.

We’ll cover things like:

Preparing Australian individual tax returns

Understanding BAS and GST for small businesses

Bookkeeping basics and organising financial records

Reading and preparing financial statements
