About Ramon
I am a second-year bachelor student at Leiden University where I am studying English Language & Culture. Before this study I earned my first-year diploma for the English teacher training study at the Hogeschool Rotterdam (HRO). During my time there, I did some internships (and therefore have classroom experience) at secondary school, from VMBO to Gymnasium. English is not my native language, but I have been interested in the language since I was about 7 years old.

My teaching methods depend on what the student wants or what the student needs. If I have to introduce a new topic I can do that with a short explanation, possibly visually and/or audibly supported, followed by exercises to practice the material and to give it a place in the brain. I also have experience with more interactive exercises such as games.
My favorite way of teaching is to offer support to students who, for example, have already dealt with a topic at school but have not yet fully understood it. It is a nice challenge for me to let these students understand the material, by looking at the material in as many different ways and from as many different angles as possible. Not every student learns in the same way, and in this way you find out what works best for you.
