About Aleksandra
An experienced English teacher with a degree in English language and literature, master's degree in TESOL and Cambridge CELTA certificate. She is also certified in classroom assessment by British Council and teaching English online by Cambridge Assessment. Skilled in teaching adult learners of English as a foreign language, IELTS training, course creation, and classroom assessment, she's gained vast experience in mono- and multilingual learning/teaching environments. Nina is also a contributing editor of TED Talks. I currently live in Switzerland, where I work as an online English and Serbian teacher, and create courses and study materials. I start my day with a cup of coffee and a few lines of a good book. I'm in love with nature, tennis and food. My story starts in London. I just moved there and after starting work in a school, I also got a few students who wanted to work on their conversation skills, that is they were struggling to speak although they had very strong grammar and vocabulary. So I figured I should do something to help them feel more confident and actually start using their knowledge outside classroom as well. So, I developed an online conversation course to do just that. Since a lot of my students were not able to attend live lessons, I also started online lessons for them. These are tailor made, which means they focus on each and every student individually to help them be the best users of English or Serbian language they can be. Working as a teacher for years, I listened carefully to my students’ needs and questions, and developed materials that are engaging and practical. I try to make sure that both the curriculum and educational methods I use in my lessons fit into our students' busy daily life and give the most comfortable learning experience.
