Experiences in OET/IELTS teaching:
I have many years of teaching experience in King’s College London and University College London. After completing Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (a 2 year course between 2007-2009) at University College London, I was granted Fellow of the UK High Education Academy in 2009. In 2011 I achieved IELTS scores - Reading 8.5, Listening 8.0, Speaking 8.0, Writing 8.0, followed by the PLAB test, which enabled me to obtain full registration with a license to practice in the UK. I started teaching IELTS in 2014.
The General Medical Council (GMC) began to formally recognise OET for overseas-trained doctors for registration purposes from 8 February 2018. Since then I have been teaching OET as well.

Being a former candidate myself, I know precisely what candidates need to do to pass the exams. As a current practising doctor, I use plenty of real-life scenarios/examples in my tuition, which are not available to tutors of pure language teaching background. Hands-on experience as a doctor gives me a unique down-to-earth approach. My special insight of life in the hospital has made my tutorials particularly helpful to those preparing for OET. The effectiveness has been vindicated by students’ success. I teach both doctors and nurses.
