About Darren

Rest assured, you're in capable hands. With 10 years of experience as a dedicated martial arts instructor, and 11 years as a gymnastics coach, I've had the privilege of guiding countless students on their journey of self-improvement. My credentials include black belts in Taekwondo and Karate, various belts in Aikido, Judo, Jujutsu, and Kobudo, and numerous open-style competition medals. My commitment to excellence and professionalism in teaching and martial arts is only matched by my love for training.

Moreover, my passion for martial arts extends beyond physical techniques; it's about fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment where every student feels empowered to grow and succeed. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned practitioner, I'm here to help you achieve your goals and unleash your full potential. Your journey starts here, with a teacher who's not only skilled but also genuinely invested in your progress and well-being.

Each student brings unique goals and challenges to the table, and I craft tailor-made lesson plans, drills, and exercises to suit individual needs. I have known Darren for over 10 years and have taken many of his classes. Not only are Darren's classes engaging, they are enlightening. He explains the what, why, and how everything connects in an easy-to-understand and fun way. When teaching forms, his ability to break down each move and then explain how they connect and eventually become one was eye-opening. I couldn't recommend Darren more highly or often for anything martial arts related.
