About Floriana

I am an Italian concert pianist and passionate piano educator, dedicated to helping students refine their technique, develop their musicality, and grow as confident performers. My love for music began early, inspired by my parents’ passion for opera—particularly Le Nozze di Figaro—and I started learning piano at the age of four. I was later admitted to my local Conservatoire, where I built a strong foundation in both performance and musicianship.

I graduated with first-class honours from the Vicenza Conservatoire in 2014 and spent several years teaching students of all ages and levels while actively performing as a soloist and chamber musician. Seeking to deepen my artistry, I moved to London to study at the Royal College of Music, where I earned a Master in Performance Diploma in 2022.

I believe that learning the piano is a journey that requires both discipline and inspiration. My teaching is focused on helping students from Grade 5 onwards develop a solid technique, explore expressive depth, and gain confidence in their playing. Whether you are preparing for exams, competitions, or simply striving for artistic growth, I will support and challenge you in a way that is both demanding and encouraging.

I continue to perform and further my own development, recently taking part in an exclusive piano masterclass in Berlin, which culminated in a performance at the Philharmonie.

If you are eager to take your piano playing to the next level, I’d love to help you on this journey.

About the lesson

I am a highly experienced concert pianist and dedicated educator, offering piano lessons for students who are serious about their musical development. My approach is both demanding and encouraging, fostering technical excellence, deep musical understanding, and artistic expression.

With a strong foundation in performance and pedagogy, I guide students through advanced repertoire, refining their technique, interpretation, and stage presence. Whether preparing for exams, competitions, or personal mastery, I ensure each lesson is rigorous, inspiring, and tailored to individual goals.

If you are committed to taking your piano playing to the next level, I would be delighted to help you achieve your full potential.

I highly recommend Floriana as a teacher! Her teaching approach is creative, supportive and professional, and she is a skilled and experienced pianist, so I feel like she is able to teach difficult concepts and guide a student very well. I always feel motivated to get better at the end of our lessons and inspired to try new pieces!

Floriana is a patient and knowledgeable teacher who works hard to tailor our lessons towards my own goals and ambitions. I always feel a little self-conscious as a more "mature" learner..., but her style of teaching and sympathy makes me feel completely at ease! She's clearly a superb pianist herself, and I always come away from our lessons with a better understanding of how to practice and improve my own techniques, as well as a deeper appreciation for music in general. I whole-heartedly recommend studying with Floriana!

Floriana is exceptional. She is reliable, approachable and patient, particularly with children. She has taught my daughters from the age of four and they both adore her. She is creative and resourceful and willing to go the extra mile to engage with children. I would definitely recommend her.
