About Federico
I am a Marketing and Communication university student at Leeds University Business School, UK. I spent the last year in England, first working in a restaurant as a receptionist and then as a student. Before leaving I graduated in Communication Sciences at the University of Bologna. I don't have much experience as a teacher, but during my university career I studied methodologies and techniques for learning, and I participated in several language courses from which I learned how to involve students in learning English.

My teaching method is based on three rules: 1. Student is King (or Queen): your needs will be at the center of the learning activities. My lessons will be adapted to your level of learning, motivations and lifestyle. During the first lesson, we will set your goals, do a small test to understand the level of learning, and above all we will try to get to know each other, so as to make the learning experience as engaging as possible. 2. LOTS of conversation in English. From experience, I know that the most important thing when studying a language is speaking, speaking and speaking in that language. It may sound trivial, but I remember that in high school we had very little conversation. So in my lessons we will gradually try to eliminate Italian. It may be frustrating at first, but trust me, that's the only way to see the results. 3. The learning experience will be pleasant and engaging: forget the kind of lessons in which the teacher speaks for himself and you pretend to listen. We will use gamification techniques. We will integrate films, TV series or video games that you like, we will talk about topics that you find interesting, or debates on topics that are close to your heart. I know from personal experience that these kinds of things work, so they will be an important part of our lessons. I am available for lessons, repetitions, homework help, conversation sessions, preparation for language certificates. I offer myself both for individual and group lessons, both online and in person (clearly, always respecting the current safety rules).
