Both of my children are students of Miss Yinning.

My daughter first started learning piano with Miss Yinning three years ago. We found Miss Yinning to be incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and we are constantly in awe of the amount of talent she has, especially her ear for music.

Miss Yinning is able to cater to my daughter’s needs, adapting lessons to suit her ability and pace, and addressing any weaknesses. When my daughter does not understand a concept, Miss Yinning is very patient and clear in her explanation.

When my youngest son was little, he would walk in and out of my daughter’s piano lessons because he was so curious about the songs she was playing and the fun she was having with Miss Yinning. His love of music has stemmed from watching and listening to them and he kept asking when he could have his own piano lessons with Miss Yinning.

So, when my son turned five, we were so excited and eager to have him be taught by Miss Yinning as well.

When I ask my children what they like about Miss Yinning, they say that her lessons are always so enjoyable. They love that they can learn new songs quickly because of how easily Miss Yinning teaches them. They love that she is always teaching them something new.

From an administrative perspective, Miss Yinning is very flexible and prompt in her responses. She always follows up and reaches out when necessary.

My 11-year-old son is working on RCM 7 this year. Over the past seven years, I have been his practice partner, but I felt he needed someone else to guide his practice. Since January 2024, he's been working twice a week with Yinning to streamline his routine. She is a thoughtful and wise teacher, always prepared and organized in her sessions. Yinning follows my son's curriculum and his teacher's notes as a guide but enhances the lessons by adapting and upgrading the content to suit his abilities. She breaks down the nuances of technique, provides explicit instruction, and maintains high standards while being kind and firm. She is also very responsive to my communications.
