About Vivienne

Hi, I’m Vivienne! I’m a pianist and teacher currently completing my Master of Music in Piano Performance at UBC, where I also completed my bachelor’s degree with High Distinction.

With over five years of teaching experience in private and music school settings, I’ve helped students develop their skills and prepare for RCM exams and performances. I also work as a teaching assistant for UBC’s class piano courses.

Having studied music in Indonesia, China, and Canada, I bring a broad musical background and a love of sharing music. I aim to make every student feel welcome, supported, and confident asking questions. I can teach in English, Mandarin, or Bahasa Indonesia.

About the lesson

Whether you’re learning your first notes, preparing for an exam or competition, or playing just for fun, I’d love to help you reach your goals!

I offer personalized piano and music theory lessons for all ages and levels, in a fun and encouraging environment. Lessons balance technique, musical expression, sight-reading, and ear training, with repertoire suited to your interests. You’ll leave with clear practice goals and practical strategies to make progress between lessons.

My aim is to help you build confidence, develop healthy playing habits, and enjoy making music at your own pace.
