About Jeff

Recognized as a top tutor on Wyzant.com. Scored in the 99th percentile on the GMAT and taught for Veritas. Taught financial management online for the past 10 years. Tutor full-time, professional, and executive MBAs. I'm a friendly, calm individual who is good at observing what you're struggling with, demonstrating effective problem solving techniques, and then helping you implement those techniques to perform better.

Tutoring is in my DNA. At age 16 I coached my fellow students in history, math, and theater. My friends and I won the state History Fair and participated in the national competition in Washington DC. Awarded an acting scholarship to three different universities. Attended BYU where I worked as a statistics teaching assistant while studying economics. Became a mentor/tutor to 160 nontraditional students who were completing a statistics course online. Finished undergrad as the Assistant for Teaching Assistant Development for the entire campus.

After undergrad I successfully taught GMAT courses for the next 3 years. Awarded a full tuition scholarship for graduate work in Business Administration at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. My graduate school peers gave me the Mason Gold Standard Award which is a recognition of one who unselfishly contributes to the academic achievement of others through mentoring. Graduated with a focus in Finance and passed both the CFA Level 1 exam and the Series 65 exam.

I've helped individuals get into Chicago, UPenn, NYU, Duke, UVA, etc. I've also assisted MBAs from IMD, Stanford, Chicago, Northwestern, Columbia, etc. I love helping students overcome their stumbling blocks and I look forward to helping you overcome yours in the coming months!

With over 10,000 hrs of tutoring finance, accounting, econ, stats and GMAT, I've seen it all. I'm friendly, approachable, and passionate about helping you understand these subjects.
