As an ongoing student and a guide, I have picked up - Patanjali's ashtang way as it guides you right from preparedness and deservingness in terms of morality, virtues & conduct, discipline. Further, exploring the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra techniques as it offers 112 options of seemingly simple ways but leading to miraculous results!
Yog or experiencing the communion with the pure eternal nonindividual state, because that state is a field which is universal.
Although, there are numerous techniques but culminating the process with some variations of breathwork & mental awareness.
The physical postures as in hath yog too is a combination of physical poses combined with mental & breathwork. Though the breath aspect too remains the grosser vehicle of subtle PRAN. Often used interchangeably but PRAN should be thought of different than Breath.
