About Aidan
Aidan Santa Cruz (He/Him) is a Santa Cruz, CA born and raised musician, pianist, singer, and lifelong music-lover. With a B.M. in Music Education from San Francisco State University, Aidan makes his living as a Music Teacher, Church Music Director, and Gigging musician.
He has worked with countless performing artists, musical projects, and local Santa Cruz institutions, including the Kuumbwa Jazz Camp, Santa Cruz Jazz festival, Twin Lakes Church, Peace United Church, Cabrillo College, Cabrillo Stage, and the Santa Cruz Symphony.
Aidan's main skill as a musician and teacher is his Creative/Musical Direction and intuitively knowing how to listen and best support other artists through his leadership at the Piano. This collaborative musicality developed by playing as many different musical styles in as many different contexts as possible.

Aidan’s deep appreciation for every corner of the musical world — from classical and jazz to global traditions and contemporary styles — shapes his dynamic approach as a Middle School Band, Piano, Guitar, and Choir director. At the heart of his teaching methodology is a commitment to helping students of all ages unlock and nurture their own creativity. Through collaboration, curiosity, and joyful exploration, he encourages musicians to discover not only their individual voices, but also the universally powerful magic that can happen when we are brought together through music.
