About Jan
During the last 6 years that I have spent training as a composer, first with a bachelor degree in composition in Spain and now with a master’s in composition in Sweden, I have involved myself in almost every music-related activity you can think of.
Whether it's composing, arranging for a band, collaborating with an orchestra, performing in concerts, producing various artists, or teaching guitar, piano, violin, or music theory to students from ages 2 to 60, I have done it. These experiences have made me an all-round musician who's always looking forward to more music-related experiences.

I find that, whether it's music theory, arranging or composing, the most important thing is for students to work on their own projects and apply the knowledge we might learn from certain examples to actual compositions or arrangements. That's why I always recommend people to begin composing, even if it's only a way to apply their music theory knowledge. I like to create a dynamic environment in which my students feel comfortable participating, making mistakes and, ultimately, learning.
