I am an Arab American, Egyptian and Palestinian, and didn’t know how to speak the language at all. Just only understand what people are saying and pick up words here and there. All my life I wanted to learn the language for real and understand it but never grasped it. I started with Kerolos 2 years ago and all I can say is it was the best decision I have made in a long time. We hit it off the very first session. Kerolos is one of the nicest, funniest and best people to talk to. I consider him like a brother for me. He will always have something every lesson and will make you speak in the language through the whole lesson. I went from not knowing a lick of Arabic to speaking in full sentences, to casual conversation and communicating with others. I even visited my home country Egypt and being able to talk to the people there felt amazing. I went from A1 to B2 approaching C1 with this language in a couple more months. Inshallah I’ll be at his level one day.

With Kerolos he will have stories ready for you, teach you words Arabs use in every day scenarios and will answer any question you have for him. He is very approachable in sessions and will never make you feel dumb asking questions. He gives homework so it’s important to do your part and come in ready the next time you see him in order to review what was new. This is a hard language to learn and he makes it very manageable for newcomers. Words cannot describe how much he changed my life. Even met the guy in Egypt and he is the same funny, goofy and cool guy you see on camera so my comments on him is very much accurate. I have much love for my brother Kerolos and plan to stay with him for a long time learning something new each lesson. You will learn a lot from him even if you’re not exposed to the language like I was. Put in the time, effort and care for yourself and he’s there to reinforce it. I have been Kerolos's student for over 2 years now and he has been an extremely patient, organised, and supportive teacher. He allows you to take the learning at your own pace but at the same time encourages you to challenge yourself. His teaching methods are varied - he uses technology to create learning games, uses films and YouTube videos to show how native speakers navigate the language, and also includes songs to showcase creative ways of communicating.
