About Teresa
I’m Teresa, an English teacher from Washington, D.C. who’s passionate about language and culture. I’ve lived in several countries, and have taught English learners from all over the world. I love creating a friendly, relaxed space where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and grow. Every lesson is a chance to connect and explore together. In my free time, I love to travel, meet new people, and learn languages as well!

I've been teaching English for over seven years and love helping students gain confidence speaking naturally. My lessons are conversation-focused, with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation woven in as we go. Every lesson is tailored to your goals. If you'd like to focus more on grammar, reading, business English, interview preparation, or everyday conversation, we can do that! We might role-play ordering at a café, discuss a news article, prepare for a job interview, or simply practice speaking about topics that interest you. I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners who want to communicate more fluently, naturally, and confidently in English.
