About Maria

I’m Maria, full Deaf, NZSL is my first language all my life. I’m proud to be Deaf and proud to use NZSL as my communication. I'm a qualified teacher and have lots of experience. I love teaching people NZSL as love watching them grow into signing to Deaf people is my inspiration. It’s my passion too.

About the lesson

Lessons are engaging, watch, copy the tutor, put in breakout groups to practice with other peers, build confidence to communicate with Deaf/Hard of Hearing people out in the community. Build knowledge of Deaf Culture, can help Deaf people with interpreting for them, social groups at Deaf Clubs. It’s an expressive, fun, inclusive language to learn and know of!
