About Huong

Music instruction exists because most students arrive convinced they are bad at this. Honestly, my own route here was messy and circuitous. Getting unstuck is a skill I teach directly.

I show my thinking out loud, including the dead ends I hit. Since I have taught more than 100 students, I find it easy to connect when their own routes are messy too. I am your warm and rigorous partner in this process.

About the lesson

You will start by practicing inner hearing and audiation as your core technique from minute 1. These elements are not extras but the foundation of how you listen before you play.

My approach uses my Bachelor of Music training to refine your sight transposition and hand position. I emphasize dynamics and expression while covering pop and contemporary styles. Expect sight playing drills that build confidence. You receive free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson so you can reach your musical goals.
