About Rafat

Assalamu Alaykum! I am Rafat, an experienced Qur’an and Islamic Studies tutor passionate about helping children and young learners build a strong and meaningful relationship with Islam.

I believe Islamic education should go beyond memorising information. Children should understand what they are learning, why it matters, and how they can practise it in their everyday lives.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive, patient and age-appropriate. I use stories, visual resources, educational games, discussions, quizzes and practical activities to keep learners engaged.

For example, rather than simply telling a child to say Bismillah, we might explore: why Muslims say it, when we say it, and how remembering Allah can become part of our daily lives.

I also understand that learners do not all begin at the same level. I assess each learner and adapt lessons to their individual needs, whether they are just beginning to recognise Arabic letters or are already reading and memorising Qur’an.
