About Laura
I am a passionate multilingual English language teacher from Britain with 6 years of experience in various English language academies, schools, preschools and summer camps around the world.
Whilst living in Spain I taught English language conversation, written, listening and reading skills to students of the ages of 3 years old to adults at multiple language academies. This also included exam preparation, job interview skills and business English. I also taught English to children at various summer camps. I taught children, teenagers and adults at their homes, assisting with homework and with general grammar and vocabulary.
I acquired my TOEFL and TOEIC certificate during my time in the language academies.
During the time that I lived in Finland, I taught conversational English, grammar and vocabulary and comprehension through an online teaching platform to various ages and levels of both adults and children.
I currently live in South Africa teaching as a lead preschool teacher at a nursery in Cape Town.

I base my classes on engaging with my students on a personal level, to really get a greater understanding of their manner of learning. I believe this to be a vital part of teaching as each student is different in so many ways.
Correction is key, it is an essential process of learning, therefore I encourage my students to not be afraid of making mistakes, after all, that is a fundamental factor to learning.
I also feel that having fun and enjoying every part of the language learning process is incredibly important. That is why I bring lots of smiles and laughter to my classes!
