About Sai Shruti

I'm professionally trained in music, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music, I perform contemporary music and teach Carnatic Music, I...

All of these are what I do. But who am I?
I'm an art enthusiast above all. I love learning about the evolution of arts, particularly music, the history behind it, how people have shaped it, how people perceive it, how art shapes & affects people, everything to do with the relationship between art and life.
On a side note, I also enjoy writing. I work as a content specialist, researching and curating content across different subjects.

And why am I here? To teach. There might be a selfish motive behind why I love to teach -- it's because I love to learn. And the best way to learn? Teach!

Classical Music has an infamous impression that it is difficult and cannot be learned by all. But I strongly believe that music, irrespective of its style, is for all. Anyone can learn music if they bring sincerity, dedication, and eagerness to and outside the classroom.
My teaching approach, directly derived from my guru's teaching method, is extremely comprehensive and inclusive. Right from the basic level, we emphasize vocal production & technique, which is understanding how to use your voice properly, rather than just learning lessons and songs. This learning can be applied even if you want to branch out to another style of Music, be it semi-classical or even Western.
Another important part of our teaching approach is being aware of what you sing, which involves learning the underlying music theory in a very practical and comprehensible way.

The classes are structured to be systematic, gradual, and comprehensive. They are completely curated to your voice, prerequisite knowledge (if any), your interest, and your capabilities.
