About Me

My journey with music began when I was in Class 3. At that age, I was a young student who simply loved music without really understanding how deeply it would become a part of my life. My parents noticed that spark in me and encouraged me to start learning. I began with a local teacher, and although I was not very serious about music at that time, those early lessons gave me the foundation that helped me throughout my journey.

From Class 6 onwards, I started learning under a dedicated guru and gradually became more serious about music. By the time I reached Class 12, I felt that I wanted to explore music at a deeper level and improve my understanding and skills. That led me to the Shankar Mahadevan Academy, where I spent around three years learning under Bhupendra Sir.

Later, I felt that I wanted to take my training even further and experience the traditional guru shishya approach of Hindustani Classical Music. This is when I began my journey with the Banaras Gharana under my Guruji, Pandit Vitesh Mishra Ji, son and disciple of the legendary Pandit Rajan Mishra Ji and Pandit Sajan Mishra Ji. Being accepted as his student has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my musical journey, and I have been learning under his guidance for the past five years.

Academically, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Music from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Asia’s first music university. I have also cleared the UGC NET examination in Music and have developed a strong understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of music.

At present, I am pursuing my PhD in Music in Dehradun, continuing to learn, research, practice, and grow as a musician.

For me, music has never been just a subject that I studied. It has been a journey that has grown with me since childhood. Every teacher, every institution, every performance, and every year of practice has taught me something different.

Today, I want to share that experience with my students. Whether you are starting from zero, trying to improve your voice, preparing for an examination, or simply someone who has always wanted to learn Indian Classical Music, I would love to be a part of your musical journey.

About the lesson

I’m not just a music student or a music teacher. I’m someone who genuinely loves music and believes that everyone has a voice worth developing.

After years of learning, performing, and working with students, I’ve realized how much I enjoy teaching and helping people discover their own musical potential. I recently decided to take teaching more seriously because I feel ready to share everything I’ve learned and help others pursue the same passion that has shaped my life.

My approach is simple: learn, understand, practice, and enjoy the music. I don’t believe in forcing every student into the same method. Whether you’re a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or an experienced singer looking to refine your skills, I’ll adapt the lessons to your level, goals, and musical interests.

We’ll work on the fundamentals, technique, voice development, musical understanding, and most importantly, confidence, while keeping the learning process engaging and meaningful.
