About Tahir

Hi, I’m Tahir Afridi I’m a professional photographer, filmmaker, and content creator with 5+ years of real-world experience working with some of Asia’s most recognized brands. At 18, I went from a photography enthusiast to a professional whose work got nominated by PakWheels and featured by Dawn News — two of Pakistan’s biggest media platforms. That journey taught me exactly what works and what doesn’t — and now I teach it all to my students. But here’s what makes me different from other tutors: I was a beginner once too. I remember the confusion — staring at camera settings, not knowing what ISO even meant, taking blurry shots and feeling frustrated. That experience is exactly why I built my lessons the way I did — simple, visual, and practical. No overwhelming jargon. No boring slideshows. I explain everything with real images, assign you hands-on tasks after every lesson, and give you personal feedback on YOUR photos. By the end of our lessons, you won’t just understand photography — you’ll feel like a photographer

About the lesson

Why Choose My Lessons?
Photography is more than just pressing a shutter button. It’s about understanding the entire ecosystem of a professional shot. My lessons are designed to be A-Z guides. We won't just cover the theory; we’ll cover the workflow that makes a professional.
What We Will Cover:
• The Technical Foundation: Mastering mirrorless camera settings, advanced lighting techniques, and the gear that matters.
• Composition & Vision: Learn the "pro" rules of composition that transform a snapshot into a cinematic masterpiece.
• Specialized Niches:
• Food Photography: Learn the styling and precision required by major commercial brands.
• Portrait & Wedding: How to direct subjects, find the best light, and capture authentic emotions.
• Commercial/Airbnb: How to shoot and edit real estate content that converts views into bookings.
• Film Photography & Development: Understanding the classic roots of our craft.
• The "Viral" Workflow: Photography doesn't end at the camera. I teach color grading, professional editing, and how to craft captions that help your work go viral.
My Approach
I believe the best way to learn is by doing what the professionals do. I’ll guide you step-by-step through my personal process—from planning the shoot and choosing the right lighting to the final color grade and posting strategy. You will get the benefit of my experience in the field, where I learned how to stand out and get featured by major industry players.
Who is this for?
Whether you are a beginner picking up your first camera or a photographer looking to master commercial techniques, lighting, or color grading, I provide actionable, real-world advice to help you level up your portfolio.

Perfect! I had a great experience learning photography with Tahir. He is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about photography, which made the learning process both enjoyable and rewarding.

Tahir explains concepts clearly and makes sure you understand not just the technical aspects of photography, but also how to apply them in real situations. His guidance helped me develop a much better understanding of composition, camera settings, lighting, and the creative side of photography.

What I appreciated most was his supportive and approachable teaching style. He was always willing to answer questions and adapt the lessons to my level and interests.

I would highly recommend Tahir to anyone looking to learn photography, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your existing skills. He is an excellent tutor and a pleasure to learn from.

Tahir's response
Thank you, really appreciate it! My goal with every student is to make sure the theory actually makes sense before we touch any settings — so we went through ISO, aperture, and shutter speed one by one until each one clicked. Once the Exposure Triangle was clear, setting up the camera felt natural.

You picked it up really quickly honestly, made the session easy. Looking forward to what we cover next!

Tahir is honestly a great video editing tutor. He’s patient, skilled, and teaches in a very easy to understand way even for beginners. Besides teaching, his own edits are super clean and professional, especially for reels and social media content. If you want to improve your editing skills or grow your content online, I’d definitely recommend learning from him.

Tahir is an incredible mentor! He doesn't just teach you how to use a camera; he teaches you the 'secrets' behind cinematic shots that actually go viral. He showed me how to use 85mm bokeh and high-end film grain aesthetics to make my videos look like big-budget movies.
