About Sarah

Sarah is a fun & inspiring teacher. She has a B.A. in Piano Performance and 17 years of teaching experience including 5th grade elementary and postsecondary/adult classes. She loves to perform for weddings and other events, performing high-level classical pieces as well as playing by ear with total improvisation. Sarah is fully fluent in Mandarin and speaks some German, French, Spanish, and Korean. She loves the challenge of reading an ancient Chinese classic or learning a new sport to near-professional ability. Learning and improving is hard, but totally worth it!

About the lesson

My lessons are different every time, but here's a snapshot:

- technique such as scales, chords, arpeggios
- any song you want to learn (start playing REAL music at your first lesson, Faber Piano Adventures & online game subscriptions)
- sightreading & ear training techniques for competition
- worship & improv like Sovereign Grace or Canon in D by ear
- Adults are guaranteed to have completed improv/worship training after just 5 weeks!

Ask about having occasional "double student" lessons for a cheaper price & GUARANTEED QUALITY with more chances for performance and fun!

Sarah is a very gifted musician. Additionally, she has a natural rapport with kids and ability to motivate them to learn. I have been so impressed with how quickly my kids have been able to play recognisable pieces on the piano. I absolutely recommend Sarah!

Sarah is incredible! She is always so helpful and patient and is incredibly knowledgeable in music. She’s been able to help me understand topics that I struggle with learning and is always encouraging me to grow. From ear training to music theory to piano and finger skills, she helps with it all! I’ve already seen major improvements in the short time I’ve been with her. Thank you, Sarah!
