About Layal
I am a recent university graduate and have obtained my honours degree in Political Science and Law. I have a passion for working with students in order to set them up for success. I have significant experience tutoring my siblings, neighbours and others in my community ranging between the ages of 8 and 20. I am experienced both the politics/government and legal studies fields. I am also highly skilled in terms of reading comprehension, writing and oral expression in the English language.

My teaching methods include the use of whiteboards for hands on and visual communication between myself and the students, which is very helpful when it comes to virtual tutoring as well. I also like to start my tutoring lessons by having the student give me a brief description of what they have learned in class in order for myself and the student to always remain on the same page. Then, we will work together on whichever concepts the student needs clarification on or is struggling with, and we will always end the lesson with a question period. After the question period, we will have a quick chat about their potential academic concerns and chat about what we will aim to improve in our next session.
