About Uzma
I am a passionate Finance professional, researcher, and aspiring educator with a strong academic background and nearly 12 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting. I hold an MS (MPhil) in Finance, an MBA in Finance, and a BBA (Hons), and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Finance. As a Gold Medalist and HEC Scholarship holder, I have always been committed to academic excellence and lifelong learning.
My professional experience at PARCO has provided me with extensive expertise in financial management, accounting, SAP, Oracle Financials, financial reporting, forecasting, and international business transactions. Alongside my corporate career, I have conducted research on financial literacy, digital finance, and women's empowerment, and have presented my work at academic conferences. I enjoy simplifying complex concepts into easy-to-understand lessons that help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I am dedicated to creating an engaging, supportive, and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing critical thinking skills. My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and interactive. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons according to each learner's background, learning pace, and academic goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts before moving to advanced topics.
I use real-world examples from finance, accounting and business to help students connect theory with practical applications. During my lessons, I encourage questions, discussions, and problem-solving exercises to improve critical thinking and confidence. I also use PowerPoint presentations, Excel, Power BI demonstrations, and practice questions where appropriate to make learning engaging and effective.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Each session usually includes a review of previous concepts, explanation of new topics, worked examples, interactive discussions, and a short assessment or practice exercise to ensure the student understands the material.
