About Oghenevwoke

I am a chartered accountant with 6 years of experience in the financial services industry. While taking my CA certification, financial accounting was one of the courses I passed in one attempt. I found interest in tutoring when I could confidently explain some concepts to my colleagues who found it difficult to sit for the exams. I am patient and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I pass knowledge.

About the lesson

As a tutor in financial accounting, my approach is crucial to the success of my students.
My teaching methodology involves engaging students through interactive discussions, asking questions, and encouraging them to participate actively. I Utilize case studies and real-world examples to make concepts more relatable and practical. My Step-by-Step Approach helps to break down complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring students grasp fundamental concepts before moving to advanced material.

The first (10 minutes) of the session is usually for the Introduction of the lesson's objectives and a recap of the previous concepts for continuity.

Explanation of the main concept (30 minutes):

Real-world examples, and case studies.
Interactive Discussion and Q&A (15 minutes): I encourage students to ask questions and participate in discussions. Clarify any doubts and provide additional explanations.

(20 minutes) Hands-on exercises related to the day's topic.
Review and discuss solutions as a class.

The last (5 minutes) is for summarizing key points and assigning relevant homework or reading for the next session.

I have tailored my teaching style to meet the diverse learning needs of high school students, diploma students in business management, and first-year undergraduates. This is achieved by an emphasis on how financial accounting principles are applied in business scenarios using the following approach.
