About Stephanie

As a psychology graduate and former statistics tutor, I prioritize patience, clarity, and adaptability in every lesson. I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because they have not yet been taught in a way that works for them. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and strengthening their understanding step by step.

I specialize in psychology, introductory statistics, behavioral science statistics, research methods, and academic support. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts, identifying learning barriers, and helping students build both academic skills and confidence. I also incorporate practical examples and collaborative problem-solving to make lessons more engaging and easier to retain.

In addition to my academic background, my experience in trauma-informed advocacy has strengthened my communication, empathy, and ability to work with diverse learners and students experiencing stress or overwhelm. I believe effective teaching should be encouraging, individualized, and empowering.

My lessons are best suited for high school students, college students, adult learners, and anyone seeking supportive guidance in psychology or statistics coursework.

I hold a BA in Psychology and previously worked as a statistics tutor, where I developed a patient, adaptive, and supportive teaching style centered around helping students truly understand material rather than memorize it. My lessons are designed to reduce anxiety around difficult subjects by breaking concepts down into manageable steps and tailoring explanations to each student’s learning style.

I specialize in psychology, behavioral science statistics, introductory statistics, research methods, and academic writing support. My background in trauma-informed advocacy has also strengthened my communication skills, empathy, and ability to work with students who may struggle with confidence, stress, or academic overwhelm.

A typical session may include reviewing course material, practicing problems together, strengthening study strategies, preparing for exams, or improving understanding of statistical concepts and psychological theories. I aim to create a judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence over time.

My lessons are ideal for high school, college, and adult learners seeking supportive and engaging instruction in psychology and statistics.
