About Rebecca

I am a third-year Psychology and Language Sciences undergraduate student at UCL (University College London), currently predicted a first.
In terms of A-Levels, I achieved an A* in Psychology, an A in Biology and an A in Chemistry. I also achieved an A in AS Maths (statistics).
I have been tutoring since 2016, and have experience tutoring A-Level Psychology, GCSE Maths, Drama, English and Science, and Key Stage 3 Maths.

About the lesson

When tutoring, I want to make sure that the student understands everything that they've been learning about, so I often ask the student to describe the concepts they have just learned about. Furthermore, I want to make sure that the student feels comfortable with the workload, so I will ask them how the workload and pace feel (whether it's too much work in too short an amount of time etc), and how they're feeling about the exam. If a student is particularly stressed, I will talk with them about ways of managing stress.
I also ask the student to use their knowledge to answer exam style questions and primarily focus on exam technique. However, whether the sessions focus on exam technique or exam content depends upon the individual students' needs.

She's patient, calm and reassuring. She breaks learning down into steps and checks for understanding every step of the way. She has really boosted my son's confidence.
