About Luca
I am passionate about psychology and committed to creating a supportive, engaging learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing their academic skills. Alongside my psychology qualifications and advanced academic research experience, I also have teaching experience through academic support and tutoring, helping students navigate challenging coursework, strengthen study techniques, and improve their understanding of complex material.
My practical experience working in the mental health field also allows me to connect psychological theory to real-world applications, making learning more meaningful and relatable. I enjoy helping students see how concepts studied in class apply beyond textbooks.

My tutoring approach is supportive, student-centred, and tailored to individual learning needs. As a psychology graduate, I help simplify complex theories, strengthen critical thinking, and improve academic writing skills. What makes me unique is my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly while building confidence and academic independence.
I teach in English and Afrikaans.
A typical lesson focuses on problem areas, course content review, practical examples, study strategies, and support with assignments, APA formatting, exam preparation, research methods, and statistics where needed.
My lessons are designed for psychology students from first year to honours level, as well as university students needing help with academic writing and research skills.
