About Zandile
I am a qualified teacher at a primary school in Durban South Africa. I'm currently doing my masters in Teacher Development Studies (TDS) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal school of Education. I had the opportunity of tutoring an honors students who did very well in her research project. I do believe that my passion for teaching and the extensive knowledge I posses has led to higher leaner outcomes.

I do my best in ensuring that the teaching method I adopt caters for the learners I teach. When I start a new topic, I start from the known to the unknown. This means that I first seek to gather and understand what the learners know about the topic to be discussed shortly. All learners are given the platform to express their ideas and thoughts. Thereafter, the lesson is introduced and presented to the learners.
Different teaching and presentation methods are used. For example, one of them includes the use of pictures to deepen the learners' understanding of the taught content. The use of pictures also gives the learners a graphic understanding, and allows for open discussions on the topic however based on the pictures presented.
Another interesting method in teaching is the use of demonstrations. I allow learners and myself to be physically involved during teaching and learning. Such a method accommodates diversity within the classroom, because learners have differing learning abilities.
