About Fredric
In my medical career I have always done my best to put myself in my patients' positions and try to help them understand how to make their lives better. I can use some of these skills to help you improve your life too! I am hard-wired to be a helper. As a retired medical school professor, I have a well-developed skill as a teacher recognized by five national and international medical teaching awards. I am especially interested in helping professional people or students who will need English to further their goals. As a student of foreign languages (German C1, French B2, Spanish B1, Italian A2) I have a special understanding of where people will have trouble with learning English.

The first lesson is free to see if future sessions will be fruitful. During that first lesson we will discuss the student's goals.
If we decide that we can work together, I will offer a short diagnostic assessment by asking the student to read a short passage aloud and answer simple questions. This will allow me to prepare future individualized lessons.
I always do my best to be friendly and supportive. We will start each lesson with a riddle or humorous story in English, which is an excellent way to learn the nuances of the language and the culture. If you learn how to tell a joke in English, you are on your way to becoming fluent!
