About Tiaan
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting and am currently completing my advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA). Professionally, I have completed my formal 5-year accounting articles and have an additional 2 years of post-qualification experience in the corporate finance sector.
While I don't come from a formal school classroom background, my corporate career has relied heavily on mentoring junior staff, training teams, and breaking down complex financial concepts for clients.
I am transitioning those exact coaching skills into private tutoring to help high schoolers who are struggling to make their books balance. I understand exactly where the learning gaps usually form, and I bring a structured, calm, and real-world approach to helping your child bridge them.

I focus on bringing real-world, practical clarity to high school Accounting (Grades 10–12). Because I work as a senior accounting professional daily, I know how to strip away confusing textbook jargon and explain things like year-end adjustments, ledgers, and financial statements in a straightforward, logical way.
My evening online sessions are structured entirely around the student’s current school topic or upcoming test prep. We use an interactive digital whiteboard to tackle past exam papers together step-by-step. My teaching style is patient and methodical—I focus on helping students understand the basic logic behind the entries so they can approach their tests with much more confidence.
