About Ali

I am a graduate of A level Acting, A level creative media and A Level Art and Design. I have many years of performing on stage across the UK. I have been performing for 11 years and I really enjoy teaching what I have learnt to other people. I have been teaching drama to secondary aged pupils for 2 years and I want to expand on my experience. I have enrolled in a teaching assistant course to start in September and am actively seeking opportunities to develop my knowledge and experience. My first job as a performing arts activities leader was an enriching and engaging role. I was able to use my learning and apply this to teach others. My employment enabled me to work in a school, whilst studying, and gave me experience of working with children, parents and teachers. I also volunteered as an English tutor in a secondary school for 1 year.
During my acting studies, my modules included musical theatre, theatre in education and learning about theatre practitioners such as Brecht and Stanislavski.

About the lesson

I approach each topic with an open mind. I take into considering how the student learns best. My lessons are hands on and intriguing. It is very practical and informative.
