About Jess

Hello! I’m Jess , a professional photographer with a First-Class Honours degree in Photography from Sheffield Hallam University. With experience across renowned galleries like the Southbank Centre and Site Gallery, I combine academic expertise with hands-on professional skills to guide students in capturing their best work. My teaching is rooted in helping each student discover their own style while mastering the technical aspects of photography. I am approachable, organised, and dedicated to fostering creativity in a structured environment. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced photographer, I’m here to help you grow your skills with confidence and creativity.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building both technical and creative skills in landscape photography. I offer 1 hour sessions online that blend practical exercises with personalised feedback to develop each student's style. With a First-Class degree in Photography and experience in professional galleries, I guide students of all levels—whether beginners or advanced learners—using hands-on techniques, including fieldwork and editing mastery. Lessons are tailored to help students understand composition, lighting, and editing software, ensuring they leave each class with practical skills and creative inspiration for their next shot.

Jess is super knowledgeable in her field and very patient with her students. She has so much passion for her photography work and has been dedicated to it ever since she graduated. We met at university where we worked together on our photography degrees, she then went on to help my nieces in their college courses and helped them really understand photography theory as well as practical.
