About Joseph
As your tutor, I will teach you not only the subject but do it in a manner that is fun and interesting. You will find out you can do things you never thought possible. Learn how to believe in yourself and not get stressed out about tests.
I will have expectations that are realistic but demanding. That said, I think learning should be something you want to do not have to do.
In the end, I believe learning is not just all facts and information. It is the learning between the lines perhaps, that counts most. Those intangibles that promote a sense of well-being to bring out the best in you are what is most important.

All students learn in different ways and at different levels. My method is to find out first what the students' goals are. From there I will create a lesson plan unique to that student.
First the objective: what we want to accomplish. Perhaps a warm-up of the topic and general information discussed with a few lead-off questions to follow.
Next the presentation of the specific subject to be studied. Based on the material presented, the student will practice what they learned. Exercises are designed to practice what has been learned.
Finally an assessment of the plan will reveal if the objective has been met.
This approach I use for middle and high school students at various levels of learning. As a tutor, I think it is crucial to get to know a student and instill confidence in their ability to perform well.
