About Joao

I’m a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with experience in both contentious and non-contentious legal work, including representing clients in Employment Tribunals and advising on a range of legal matters. I’ve been through the LLB and SQE myself — so I know how challenging legal study can be. I decided to start tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand the law in a clear, practical way. Legal study isn’t just about memorising cases — it’s about developing the ability to think critically, apply principles confidently, and write clearly under pressure. That’s where I can help. You’re welcome to bring your own materials or let me help structure a plan based on your syllabus or exam needs. I aim to create a supportive, friendly environment where questions are encouraged and progress is measurable. I offer both one-off sessions (e.g. for exam prep or coursework review) and ongoing support.
